Message I would have to think they simply impose too much constraint on chassis design to be used over a V6. The "advantages" are simply non-factors for the new car market.

No one is selling a new car for the owner to work on. Kind of defeats the point.

But i'm with you I would like to see at least one or two options out there if for no other reason but variety's sake. Plus they do have a cool sound to them, as do V-6......anyone who has heard a GTR on the track knows what I'm talking about
